Pikmin 3

Pikmin 3 is the third installment of the Pikmin series. No screenshots or information have been released. It was announced at the 2008 E3 Video Game Awards. Shigeru Miyamoto was shown in a small clip saying "We're making Pikmin" [GameGrep Article].

Cammie Dunaway has confirmed in an IGN interview that the New Play Control! Pikmin series is not what Miyamoto meant when he announced the new Pikmin. In the IGN review [1] Dunaway said the following statement:

"It's not the Pikmin that Mr. Miyamoto referred to, no. Mr. Miyamoto referred to a new Pikmin, as opposed to the classics that are being rereleased on Wii."

The platform in which the game will run is unknown at this point, but will either be for the Nintendo Wii or Nintendo DS.
