Help:Template List
From Pikmin - Wiki on Neoseeker
This page includes all of the templates you need to get started on the Pikmin wiki. Please view them all and read their usage notes carefully. They are often located on the template pages themselves. More templates will be added as necessary.
[edit] Page Layout Designs
Copy and paste these into the page you are creating if it is one of the following. Replace old versions of these templates with the new ones when possible:
- Template:Area
- Template:Species
- Template:Treasure
- Template:Cave
- Template:Challenge Mode Cave
- Template:Ship Part
- Template:Family
- Template:Series
[edit] Link Boxes
These are link boxes that are put at the bottom of the page. They contain links to pages within the same category. Place {{TEMPLATENAME}} on any page where it belongs, unless it has already been added. You do not have to put the "Template:" part in front. Capitalization must be correct, as with all links. Example: "{{Area Links}}".
- Template:Area Links
- Template:Species Links
- Template:Treasure Links
- Template:Cave Links
- Template:Ship Part Links
- Template:Family Links
- Template:Series Links
[edit] Message Templates
Main help article: Help:Message Templates
- Put this at the top of a page when a page is lacking information.
- Put this at the top of a page when it has information, but it is poorly worded or formatted, and needs work to become a quality article.
- Place this at the top of protected pages.
- Place this in the talk of locked articles.
[edit] Other Helpful Templates
Place {{TEMPLATENAME}} on a page to use these. You do not have to put the "Template:" part in front. Capitalization must be correct, as with all links. Example: "{{Stub}}".
- This is a shorthand for categorizing pages. Just place {{Cat|CATEGORY 1|CATEGORY 2}} at the top of the page instead of the usual category markup.
- Put this at the top of pages that have a table of contents that should be floated to the left. This eliminates wasted space created by TOC's.
- Put this in front of a section or page that may give away major plot or ending spoilers. If the spoiler is small, it may be better to use the spoiler tag instead:
<spoiler title="TITLE">SPOILER TEXT</spoiler>
The spoiler title is optional.
