This object appears to be a sub-woofer or speaker of some kind. You can find this treasure on the 7th and final sublevel of the Shower Room in the Perplexing Pool. You need to be a quick thinker since you have to defeat the Ranging Bloyster to acquire it. Once you defeat that extremely annoying creature and get the Amplified Amplifier back to your Research Pod, it will be added to your Exploration Kit as the Mega Tweeter, which upgrades the range of your whistle. It is approximately 50% wider with this upgrade, so it is much easier to call Pikmin that are farther away or are spread out.
